Many Canadians of my generation have parents who are immigrants. My mom moved from Ireland to Toronto when she was only 18 years old. She built a life for herself in Canada, never forgetting her Irish roots. “Cascading” is based on a song my mom wrote and is symbolic of her heritage, evolving as it is passed down through the generations.
